Garnish (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use: (i) the Garnish Android mobile application (the “App”), and (ii) our website at grnsh.app (the “Website”).
By using Garnish, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our App or Website.

1. Scope
This Policy covers the Garnish Android App and the Website (grnsh.app). It applies to information collected through Firebase services and Google Analytics as described below.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 From the Mobile App
We use Google Firebase services to provide core functionality, analytics, and stability. The App may collect the following categories of data:
- Identifiers
- App Instance ID (used with Firebase Analytics; reset if you uninstall/reinstall the App).
- Anonymous sign‑in ID via Firebase Auth (not linked to your personal identity).
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to deliver notifications (tokens are refreshed periodically and invalidated when the app is uninstalled).
- App activity & usage data (e.g., screens viewed, buttons tapped, in‑app events).
- Device information (device model and OS version, sent in request headers for security and analytics).
- Crash & performance data (error logs via Firebase Crashlytics; performance metrics via Firebase Performance Monitoring).
We do not collect: names, emails, phone numbers; photos, videos, microphone input, files or storage contents; contacts or calendar data; location data (precise or approximate); or user‑generated content.
2.2 From the Website
When you visit grnsh.app, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect non‑personally identifiable information such as device type, browser and OS, pages visited, time spent, and general location (city/region). The Website does not collect personal data like names, email addresses, or payment information.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain App functionality (Firebase Auth, Firestore, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging).
- Monitor and improve performance and stability (Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring).
- Analyze usage trends and user behavior (Firebase Analytics, GA4).
- Enhance security and prevent misuse (device model/OS checks in request headers).
- Support current and future in‑app purchases via Google Play Billing (we do not receive your payment card details).
6. Data Retention
- Analytics (Firebase Analytics / GA4): retained for up to 14 months (as configured).
- Crash & performance data (Crashlytics / Performance): typically retained for up to 90 days.
- App Instance ID: reset when you uninstall/reinstall the App.
- Anonymous sign‑in credentials: removed from your device on uninstall; associated backend records are not linked to your identity and are deleted during routine retention or upon request (see Your Rights).
- FCM tokens: refreshed periodically and invalidated upon uninstall.
7. Security
We use industry‑standard measures (e.g., TLS encryption in transit and access controls) to protect data. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Age Restrictions
The App contains content related to alcoholic beverages and is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old or the legal drinking age in their country. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Your Rights & Controls
- You may have rights to access or request deletion of data we hold about you, depending on your jurisdiction.
- The App currently does not provide an in‑app toggle to opt out of analytics or a built‑in data deletion tool.
- To submit a data access or deletion request (including deletion of records associated with your Firebase anonymous ID), contact us at privacy@grnsh.app.
- You can disable App notifications via your device settings.
10. Service Providers & Links
We rely on the following Google services. Their privacy documentation is available here:
The App does not include advertising SDKs and does not use the Advertising ID. In‑app purchases (present or forthcoming) are processed by Google Play; we do not receive your payment card details.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The “Effective Date” above indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the App or Website after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
